Privacy Policy Overview
TktPanda (“TktPanda”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you provide when using our services.
This Privacy Policy explains how TktPanda collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you use our website and application at tktpanda.com and related subdomains (together, the “Service”).
By using TktPanda, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
TktPanda is currently operated as an unincorporated project/brand (not yet registered as a company) by its founding team, based in Punjab, India. References to “TktPanda”, “we”, “us”, or “our” in this document mean the individuals currently operating the Service, until such time as a company is incorporated to operate it.
1. About TktPanda
TktPanda is a campus-focused ticketing and event-discovery platform that lets users:
- Create and manage an account;
- Discover events hosted by colleges, clubs, communities, and organizers;
- Book event tickets, solo or as part of a team/squad where supported;
- Receive an encrypted QR-code ticket for entry;
- For organizers: create and manage events, view stats, and check attendees in at the gate.
2. Age Requirement
TktPanda is intended for individuals who are at least 16 years old. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this minimum age, and if you are under 18, that a parent or guardian is aware of your use of the Service.
If we become aware that an account has been created by someone who does not meet this minimum age without appropriate consent, we may take reasonable steps to remove the account and associated personal data. Parents or guardians with concerns can contact us at support@tktpanda.com.
3. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, information generated through your use of the Service, and information from the third-party services you choose to use to sign in or pay.
- Account information: name, email address, and authentication details (via Firebase Authentication).
- Profile information: college/university, and any other profile details you choose to add.
- Booking information: event bookings, ticket status, team/squad members you register (where applicable).
- Usage data: pages visited, device/browser type, IP address, and similar diagnostic data collected automatically.
- Event information (for organizers): event name, description, date, time, venue, pricing, and thumbnail image.
4. How Sign-In Works
TktPanda uses Firebase Authentication (a Google Cloud service) to manage account sign-in. When you create an account or sign in, Firebase processes your email address and a securely hashed version of your password on our behalf; TktPanda does not itself store your plaintext password.
Your account role (regular user, or organizer/admin) determines what parts of the Service you can access, and is enforced on our backend servers, not only in the app you're using.
5. Ticket Purchases and Payments
Ticket payments are processed through our third-party payment partner, PayU. When you make a payment, your payment details (card, UPI, netbanking, etc.) are handled directly by PayU under its own privacy policy and security standards.
TktPanda receives and stores information necessary to confirm your transaction, issue your ticket, associate it with the correct event, process any organizer-authorized refund, and provide support. We do not intend to store your complete card, banking, or UPI credentials.
6. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, keep the platform secure, remember preferences, and understand basic usage of the Service.
TktPanda does not currently use cookies primarily for advertising or behavioral-advertising purposes. If this changes, we will update this Policy and, where required, obtain appropriate consent.
7. How We Use Your Information
- Creating and managing your account and authenticating you;
- Letting you discover events and complete bookings;
- Issuing and verifying encrypted QR tickets;
- Processing payments and organizer-authorized refunds;
- Sending transactional emails (booking confirmations, sign-in, support replies);
- Providing customer support;
- Detecting fraud, abuse, or security incidents;
- Complying with applicable legal obligations;
- Improving the reliability and security of the Service.
8. Service Providers and Third Parties
We use the following categories of third-party service providers to operate the Service:

9. Data Storage and Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure, including access controls, authentication, encryption where appropriate (including AES-256-GCM encryption of QR ticket payloads), and limited internal access to personal data.
No online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and should notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.
10. Sharing of Personal Information
TktPanda does not sell your personal information. We may share information, only as reasonably necessary, with:
- Service providers who help us operate the Service (see Section 8).
- The relevant event's Organizer, to the extent needed to run that event (e.g. attendee name and ticket status for check-in).
- Legal and regulatory authorities, where required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of TktPanda, our users, or others.
11. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain transaction and business records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations. When no longer needed, we take steps to delete or anonymize it, subject to any longer retention required by law.
12. Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your TktPanda account by contacting support@tktpanda.com. We will take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize your personal information, subject to legal requirements, outstanding disputes, and fraud/abuse prevention.
13. Your Privacy Rights
Subject to applicable Indian law, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information, and to raise a grievance about how we handle it. Requests can be sent to support@tktpanda.com; we may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.
14. Third-Party Websites and Services
TktPanda may link to third-party websites or services (including our payment and authentication providers) that we do not control. Their own privacy policies apply to your use of those services.
15. International Data Processing
Some of our service providers may process or store information outside India. Where this happens, we take steps required under applicable law and reasonable contractual and security requirements.
